Hollow Knight: Silksong, it is a Metroidvania-type game released by Team Cherry, an independent developer, in 2025.

Silksong was originally planned as downloadable content for Hollow Knight, as a DLC, but it ended up being bigger for just one DLC, creating the game, Silksong was announced on February 14, 2019, in a trailer, with a developer diary video sharing more information.1

After 7 years of waiting, Team Cherry announced that Silksong will be released on September 4,2 the wait is due to poor management.3

Plot

Hornet

Hornet, protective princess of Hallownest, She is kidnapped and taken to the kingdom of Pharloom by bugs, Hornet escapes from his captors and falls into the Moss Grotto, the first stage of the game, Hornet must climb to the surface, a shining citadel, to discover why she was brought to this mysterious place. As she climbs he faces various adversaries including knights, warriors and assassins.

Records

Silksong surpassed 500,000 concurrent players in the first few hours, it was very well received with a 97% rating, it quickly rose to fourth place among the most played games on Steam.4

Silksong is estimated to have sold over 3.2 million copies on Steam.5

IDF lieutenant killed in accidental explosion

On September 8, musical artist David Burke, also known as d4vd, the body of a 15-year-old girl was found in the back of his car.
